What is biophilia?

Share

Biophilia is a term that means “love of the living” or “love of life”, it implies the need of the human being to be in union with nature. This concept was developed by biologist Edward O. Wilson of Harvard University, naming the hypothesis that contact with nature is essential for the psychological development of humans.

Contact with nature has numerous benefits that contribute to our relaxation, sense of freedom and general well-being. In addition, it has been proven to help reduce both muscular and nervous tension.

Nowadays, more and more people are aware that the relationship with nature is essential for every human being. This trend is in full swing and has spread to the workplace, where natural elements are being incorporated into offices to promote concentration and improve the well-being of workers.

For Aistec, the health and comfort of workers in the work environment is fundamental. For this reason, we offer a wide variety of biophilia products that purify the environment and provide the necessary naturalness in work spaces. At the same time, our biophilia products have acoustic properties and are totally hypoallergenic.

From 100% natural Mosspanel acoustic mosses to our Naava plant murals composed of real, self-sustaining plants that clean the air naturally. We work tirelessly to provide the best service to our customers and these natural products are proof of that.

The application of biophilia in the work environment aims to increase employee productivity. By including these natural elements in offices, a good working environment is created.
